Safety road check leads to DWI charge
AMSTERDAM — Martin J. Konik, 50, of 618 Sacandaga Road, Fort Johnson, was arrested by the Montgomery County sheriff’s office Feb. 23 and charged with drunken driving.
Deputies said Konik was arrested following a safety road check in the village of Fort Johnson. Deputies said an investigation determined Konik was driving while intoxicated and he was arrested.
Konik was released with an appearance ticket for Town Court.
Domestic incident leads to assault charge
GLOVERSVILLE — Jeffrey D. Lott, 49, of 64 W. Pine St. was charged by city police on Saturday with third-degree attempted assault.
Officers said Lott was charged following a domestic incident during which he slapped the female victim in the face, causing her pain and discomfort.
Lott was arraigned in City Court by Judge Traci DiMezza and sent to the Fulton County Jail on $500 cash bail or $2,500 bond.
