Man charged with unlicensed operation

AMSTERDAM — Andy J. Kimball, 46, 42 Broad St., Amsterdam, was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Deputies said Kimball was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 5. Deputies said Kimball was operating his vehicle while having five suspensions on it. He also had an active warrant out of the city of Schenectady.

Kimball was issued tickets returnable to Town Court and was then turned over to the Schenectady Police Department.

Teen charged with drug sales at school

MOHAWK — Erick J. Ramos, 16, of 68 Bunn St., Apartment 2, Amsterdam, was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, criminal sale of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said Ramos was selling drugs at a school in the town.

Ramos was processed and released on appearance tickets returnable to Town Court at a later date.

Man charged with petit larceny

AMSTERDAM — Jouseth Torres Colon, 30, of 1 Ellsworth St., Amsterdam, was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and charged with petit larceny.

Deputies said they received a call from the assets protection unit at Walmart, located at 101 Sanford Farms Shopping Plaza, in Amsterdam, reporting an alleged shoplifter.

Colon was arrested and processed at the sheriff’s office where he was released on an appearance ticket for Town Court before Judge Slezak on Tuesday.

Man arrested on bench warrant

AMSTERDAM — Joseph Frank Costello III, 34, of 29 Grand St., Amsterdam, was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office March 7 and charged on a bench warrant from Town Court for failure to pay a fine.

Deputies said Costello was arrested on an active bench warrant, arraigned before Judge Deborah Slezak and released.

Woman charged with being unlicensed

AMSTERDAM — Madelyn Rivera, 33, of 108 N. St., Apartment 1, Gloversville, was arrested by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office March 7 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Rivera was processed and released on an appearance ticket for Town Court Thursday at 6 p.m.

Traffic stop results in several charges

JOHNSTOWN —Cherrie D. Sanders, 49, of 106 Dove St., was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies Monday with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Deputies said she was arrested following a traffic stop at 4:33 p.m. in the town.

She will appear later in Town Court.
