Traffic stop leads to unlicensed charges

ST JOHNSVILLE — Stanley R. Burke, 55, of 13994 Duansburg Road, Delanson, was arrested by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies Sunday and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Deputies said Burke was seen driving on Route 5 in the town of St. Johnsville and was stopped for a traffic violation. It was determined Burke’s license had been suspended for not having insurance, which had happened a total of seven previous times.

Burke was arraigned in St. Johnsville Town Court. He was remanded to the Montgomery County Corrections Facility in lieu of bail.

No seatbelt results in additional charges

PALATINE — Dylan J. Spaulding, 24, of 28 River St., Fort Plain, was arrested by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies Sunday and charged with driving with a suspended license.

Deputies said Spaulding was seen driving on East Main Street in the village of Nelliston not wearing a seatbelt. After a traffic stop deputies determined Spaulding’s drivers license had been suspended for failure to pay a fine in Mayfield.

Spaulding was issued a traffic ticket answerable in Palatine Town Court.

Alleged speeding results in charges

AMSTERDAM — Sarah M. Roche, 21, of 1500 Maplecrest Dr., Castleton, was arrested by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies March 29 and charged with unlawful possession of marihuana and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

Deputies said Roche was stopped when she was seen speeding, going 47 miles-per-hour in a 30 mph zone. It was determined Roche was operating with a suspended New York state license for failure to answer summons. Deputies also said Roche was found to be in possession of marihuana.

Traffic stop results in DWI charges

GLOVERSVILLE — Daniel Herringshaw, 30, of 18 Woodside Ave. was charged with driving while intoxicated by city police Sunday.

Officers said Herringshaw’s vehicle was stopped on West Pine Street and he was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Herringshaw was arraigned in City Court by Judge Traci DiMezza and sent to the Fulton County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Man charged with disorderly conduct

GLOVERSVILLE — Justin J. Gray, 24, of 81 Hill St. was charged with disorderly conduct by city police on Sunday.

Officers said they were called to Murphy’s Irish Pub at 160 W. Fulton St. for an unrelated EMS call. Upon arrival, officers were met at the door by Gray, who was being assisted out of the establishment by other patrons. While outside Gray was yelling obscenities, and acting irate, and continued to do so after being warned by officers to cease.

Gray was given a ticket for City Court.
