Traffic stop leads to charges

GLEN — Dale P. Bridgewater, 53, of 1 Dairy St., Fort Plain, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Friday with operating on a suspended license.

Deputies said Bridgewater’s vehicle was observed on Route 5S in the town with an obstructed view. A deputy executed traffic stop and a state Department of Motor Vehicles check revealed his driver’s license was suspended.

He will appear later in Town Court.

Man charged with being disorderly

GLOVERSVILLE — Chris J. Etherton, 26, of 40 W. Main St. in Canajoharie was charged with disorderly conduct by city police on Sunday.

Officers said they were flagged down by Etherton who was standing in the parking lot of Country Farms on South Main Street. During the course of their interview with him, Etherton became disorderly, including yelling and screaming obscenities. Police said Etherton refused to stop his actions when asked.

Etherton was given tickets for City Court on a later date.
