Loud exhaust leads to additional charge

JOHNSTOWN — Michael P. Fitzpatrick, 23, of 85 North St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:14 a.m. June 9 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and loud exhaust.

Police said the motorist was charged on North Comrie Avenue.

He was released in lieu of $250 cash bail to appear later in City Court.

Headlight infraction leads to more charges

JOHNSTOWN — Michael C. Miller, 49, of 14 Spring St., Johnstown, was charged by city police at 9:32 p.m. June 10 with an equipment violation (lights) and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Police said he was cited on Grand Street.

Miller will appear later in City Court.

Cell phone use leads to charges

JOHNSTOWN — Michael J. Allen, 29, of 54 E. Pine St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 3:50 p.m. June 11 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operation of a motor vehicle without an interlock device, and operating a vehicle while using a cellphone.

Police said Allen was charged on North Perry Street.

He was released in lieu of $200 cash bail to appear later in City Court.

City bench warrant results in arrest

JOHNSTOWN — Kevin S. Ovitt, 44, of 212 1/2 Yost St., was arrested by city police at 9:30 a.m. June 13 on a warrant.

Police said he was charged on a bench warrant issued by City Court.

He was held for a court appearance in that court.

Stay-away violation leads to two arrests

GLOVERSVILLE — David J. Hassett, 35 of 14 Woodside Ave was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and April L. Fox, 26, of 14 Woodside Ave., was charged with sixth-degree conspiracy on Thursday.

Officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint on Fremont Street. Through investigation officers learned that an active family court order of protection was in place between Hassett and Fox.

Hassett was arraigned in City Court by Judge Traci DiMezza and sent to the Fulton County Jail on $2,500 cash bail or $25,000 bond. Fox was arraigned in City Court by DiMezza and sent to the county jail on $250 cash bail or $1,000 bond.

Both are to appear in Gloversville City Court at a later date and time.

$10K bond set for unlicensed driving

GLOVERSVILLE — Herbert D. Ward, 35, of 423 S. Main St. was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Thursday.

Officers said that Ward was charged after police found he was intoxicated while operating a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation on South Main Street.

Ward was arraigned in City Court by Judge Traci DiMezza and was sent to Fulton County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.

Woman charged with taking on cell phone

JOHNSTOWN — Kasa N. Richardson, 40, of 126 Pleasant Ave., was charged by city police at 2 p.m. Tuesday with petit larceny.

Police said she was charged on West Montgomery Street. Police said Richardson allegedly took a cell phone from a victim at 9:45 a.m. June 12.

She will appear later in City Court.
