MAYFIELD — A 19-year-old town man was arrested recently by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department on a felony surveillance charge, accused of recording images in a bathroom in the town.
Deputies said Joshua S. Adamkoski of 380 Progress Road was arrested at 9:21 p.m. June 29 on Progress Road in the town. He was charged with one felony count of second-degree unlawful surveillance.
A sheriff’s office news release indicated Adamkoski intentionally made holes in the ceiling of a bathroom, installing a cellular phone with a camera. The phone was plugged in using an extension cord and he allegedly recorded at an undisclosed location in the town.
“I think the incident occurred more than a year ago,” Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino said Thursday.
Giardino declined to name the Mayfield site of the surveillance, saying it was “still in business.” He said the investigation into the crime continues.
Adamkoski was arraigned in Town Court and sent to the County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail to reappear later in Town Court.
