Man held on $35K bail after arrest

MAYFIELD — State police in Mayfield arrested Eric S. Klena, 46, of Gloversville, for second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal contempt on Friday.

Police said Klena allegedly entered a home on Fisher Road in Caroga on Wednesday and stole a chain saw and other tools.

At the time of his arrest, police said Klena was in the company of Cori Ostrander, 35, of Mayfield, in violation of a court order that has directed him to stay away from her.

He was arraigned in the town of Caroga Court and remanded to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $35,000 cash on the burglary charge and $1,500 cash on the contempt charge.

During the arrest of Klena, state police found Ostrander to be wanted by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for second-degree assault. She was taken into custody and turned over to the sheriff’s department where she was arraigned and remanded to Fulton County Jail on $10,000 bail.
