Traffic stop leads to drug, DWAI charges
AMSTERDAM — Anthony P. Squeglia, 52, of Tribes Hill was arrested by New York state police and charged with unlawful possession marijuana, an equipment violation for having sub-standard lights and driving while impaired by drugs.
Failure to appear leads to warrant
JOHNSTOWN — Ishauna L. Smith, 32, of 507 E. Ferry St., Apartment. 1, Buffalo, was arrested by city police at 10:51 a.m. Monday on a warrant.
Police said she was charged after turning herself in for an bench active warrant out of City Court for failure to appear from a prior case.
Smith was held for arraignment in City Court.
Man charged with harassment
JOHNSTOWN — Michael E. Teale Sr., 46, of 98 Woodside Ave., Apartment 2, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday with second-degree harassment, a violation.
Police said he was charged following an investigation into a disorderly person refusing to leave an unspecified building on North Comrie Avenue. The investigation revealed Teale struck another person, police said.
Teale will appear later in City Court.
Man charged with petit larceny
JOHNSTOWN — James D. Derusha, 48, of 32 S. William St., was charged by city police at 9 a.m. Tuesday with misdemeanor petit larceny.
Police said he was charged following an investigation into a larceny on June 24 from a Main Street business.
Derusha was arraigned in City Court with bail set at $500 cash, pending further court action.
Man accused of calling 47 times
JOHNSTOWN — Stephen P. Arnold, 62, of 16 Third St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday with one felony count of first-degree criminal contempt and one misdemeanor count of aggravated harassment.
Police said he was charged at his residence following an investigation into contempt of a court order. Police said an investigation revealed 47 hang up calls and three voice messages were left by Arnold after being under court order not to communicate with the victim.
Arnold was arraigned in City Court and sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, pending further court action.
