Man jailed on $25K bond after traffic stop
GLOVERSVILLE — James W. Gordon-Jack, 22, of 28 Fifth St. was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana by city police on July 11.
Officers said Gordon-Jack was stopped after he was observed driving a motor vehicle and the officers had knowledge his license was suspended. After taking Gordon-Jack into custody, .3 grams of marijuana was found in the vehicle.
Gordon-Jack was arraigned in City Court before Judge Traci DiMezza and sent to the Fulton Country Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond.
Failure to appear leads to more charges
GLOVERSVILLE — Andrew W. Sharpe, 34, of 5 Burton St. in Johnstown was taken into custody on a bench warrant by city police on July 11.
Officers said Sharpe was located at 4 Daisy Lane at the Department of Social Services, and taken into custody on an active bench warrant issued out of City Court. The warrant was issued after Sharpe did not appear back in court on previous driving while intoxicated charges.
Sharpe was arraigned in City Court by Judge Tracy DiMezza and sent to Fulton County Jail on $350 cash bail or $3,500 bond.
Failure to yield leads to accident
GLOVERSVILLE — One person was ticketed by city police following a two-vehicle crash on July 5.
Officers said Kimberly Wright was driving east on North Street near the intersection of Temple Street when she failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle driven by Megan J. Vanguilder and struck Vanguilder’s vehicle on the drivers side front tire.
Wright was issued a ticket for failure to yield the right of way.
Accident leads to DWI charges
GLOVERSVILLE — One person was issued tickets by city police following a two-vehicle crash on July 2.
Officers said Joseph L. Johnson, 22, of 79 E. Fulton St. was driving east on Spring Street when he missed his turn, backed up in the eastbound lane and struck a parked vehicle registered to David W. Quinn of Reynoldsburg, Ohio that was unoccupied.
Johnson was issued tickets for unsafe backing, driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
