Woman charged with petit larceny

AMSTERDAM — A women was stopped by loss prevention agents at Amsterdam Walmart for allegedly stealing $133.06 worth of various grocery items.

Yarida Rodriguez, 40, of Amsterdam, was charged by by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on Sept. 7, for petit larceny. Rodriguez was issued an appearance ticket.

Man charged with third-degree assault

JOHNSTOWN — Craig D. Myers, 35, of 307 Glebe St., was charged by city police at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 29 with third-degree assault.

Police said he was charged at home, stemming from an incident involving another person that wasn’t detailed.

He will appear later in City Court.

Traffic stop leads to marijuana charges

JOHNSTOWN — Two people were charged by city police at 7:46 p.m. Sept. 4 with various counts.

Police said driver Alyssa M. Marlitt, 24, of 24 1/2 N. Melcher St., was charged with uninspected motor vehicle, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police said passenger Kenneth W. Olson, 37, of the same address, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.

The suspects were charged after a traffic stop on Pleasant Avenue.

Marlitt was released in lieu of $200 cash bail to appear later in City Court.

Olson will appear later in City Court.

Man arrested on bench warrant

JOHNSTOWN — John G. Ohanlon, 50, of 19 N. Perry St., was arrested by city police at 7:20 p.m. Sept. 2 on a bench warrant.

Police said he was arrested on West State Street on a warrant out of City Court.

He was held for an appearance in that court.

Yelling profanities leads to charges

JOHNSTOWN — Chris S. Christman, 49, of 220 N. Perry St., was charged by city police at 4:06 a.m. Sept. 1 with disorderly conduct.

Police said he was cited at home for creating a disturbance by yelling profanities , and refusing to stop after police ordered him to.

He will appear later in City Court.

Woman arrested on bench warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Annette Vincenty, 42, of 18 E. Green St., was arrested by city police at 7:37 p.m. Sept. 2 on a bench warrant.

Police said she was arrested at home on a warrant out of City Court.

She will appear later in that court.

Running stop light leads to more charges

JOHNSTOWN — Brian D. Nilsen, 46, of 3624 Route 29, was charged by city police at 12:25 a.m. Aug. 29 with passing a flashing red light and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police said the motorist was charged on East Main Street after an offense at the intersection of that street and East State Street.

He was released in lieu of $100 cash bail to reappear later in City Court.

Two charged with harassment

JOHNSTOWN — Two people were charged by city police at 11:43 p.m. Aug. 27 with second-degree harassment.

Police said Nicolle E. Barnwell, 41, of 23 S. Chase St., and Karen L. Lawyer, 38, of 126 Pleasant Ave., were charged. Police said the suspects allegedly struck a person on South Chase Street.

The suspects will appear later in City Court.
