Several charges lodged against man
JOHNSTOWN — Drake C. Dolder, 24, of 287 Woods Hollow Road, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:26 a.m. Nov. 8 with third-degree criminal mischief, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving while ability impaired, unsafe backing, second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree escape.
Police said Dolder was charged on South Melcher Street. Police were investigating a family offense when Dolder intentionally backed his car into a marked police car. While at the police station at City Hall on East Main Street, police said Dolder escaped from custody for a “very short” period of time, but apprehended and charged with escape.
In the family offense, Dolder, was charged with third-degree felony criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing.
Troopers said the charges are related to an incident in the town.
Dolder was processed at without incident and arraigned in the Town Court.
Dolder was subsequently sent to the Fulton County Jail on no bail and is to reappear in court at a later time.
Child pornography found on computer
MAYFIELD —A Gloversville man has been charged after state police said child pornography was found on his computer.
Justin Lehr, 23, was charged with possessing a sexual performance of a child less than 16-years-old.
Troopers said the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Fonda and Troop G Computer Crimes Unit charged Lehr after an investigation in the city.
Troopers said Lehr admitted to possessing child pornography on his computer and USB device.
Lehr was processed at the Mayfield barracks without incident and was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the city of Gloversville Court on a later date.
Domestic violence call leads to charges
GLOVERSVILLE — Michael L. Venegas, 46, of Fremont Street was charged with third-degree attempted assault by city police on Tuesday.
Officers said Venegas was charged following officers’ response to a domestic violence complaint. During the investigation it was learned that the victim sustained several injuries from Venegas.
He was placed under arrest, processed, and held for arraignment in Gloversville City Court.
Driver charged with unlicensed operation
JOHNSTOWN — Michael L. Jones, 29, of 108 North St., Apartment 2, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:15 a.m. Nov. 12 with an equipment violation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
Police said Jones was cited on North Comrie Avenue.
He was released in lieu of $100 cash bail, to appear later in City Court.
