GLOVERSVILLE — A city teenager is facing charges after city police said he was caught naked in bed with a juvenile
Richard D. Canfield II, 19, of 26 Park St. was charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child on Monday.
Police said throughout the course of an investigation, information was developed that indicated Canfield has been engaging in a sexual relationship with a juvenile female for the past several months.
Members of the Gloversville Detective Division also learned that Richard Canfield II was currently at 51 Yale St. Apt. 9 with a juvenile female.
After learning that information, members of the Gloversville Police Department Detective Division and members of the Patrol Division responded to 51 Yale St. Apt. 9, and subsequently located Canfield in a bedroom of the apartment naked with a juvenile female.
At that time, Canfield was taken into custody and transported back to the police department where he was processed and arraigned in City Court.
Man charged after stolen ATV found
MAYFIELD — Michael J. Mehaffy, 43, of Fort Plain was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property by state police on Monday.
Police said in October, while investigating a burglary complaint, police recovered a stolen Polaris 4-wheeler behind a residence in Ephratah.
Mehaffy allegedly purchased the stolen ATV from another, and had hidden it behind that residence.
Mehaffy turned himself in on Monday.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Ephratah Town Court and released.
Gloversville man charged with DWI
JOHNSTOWN — Billy W. Singleton, 35, of 259 S. Main St., Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies on Jan. 18 with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, refusal to take a roadside breath test, and driving on the shoulder of a roadway.
Deputies said he was charged following an accident investigation on Route 29 in the town of Johnstown.
Singleton was allegedly operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, deputies said.
He will appear later in Town Court.
Canajoharie woman facing charges
JOHNSTOWN — Amy M. Reese, 45, of 35 Erie Blvd., village of Canajoharie, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies on Jan. 23 with second-degree impersonation.
Deputies said she was charged following a criminal impersonation complaint in the town.
Deputies said she allegedly used someone else’s name during a vehicle stop to avoid getting arrested.
Reese will appear later in Town Court.
