‘Dog-at-large’ leads to man’s charge

JOHNSTOWN — Marc C. Spagnuola, 47, of 34 Cayadutta St., was charged by city police at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 18 with dog-at-large, a violation.

Police said he was charged at 30 Cayadutta St. after the city animal control officer investigated a complaint of a dog-at-large on Jan. 15.

He was arraigned in City Court and released to appear later.

St. Johnsonville man receives charges

JOHNSTOWN — Roberto M. Velez, 30, of 11 Old Meadow Road, St. Johnsville, was charged by city police at 11:12 p.m. Jan. 18 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; failure to keep right and unlawful possession of marijuana, both violations; and a warrant.

Police said Velez was arrested on South Comrie Avenue. He was charged during a traffic stop for the unlicensed operator and marijuana offenses, and then turned over to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on an arrest warrant.

He was released from Johnstown with appearance tickets for City Court.

Man receives two vehicular charges

JOHNSTOWN — Michael D. Clay, 48, of 116 Washington St., Apt. 1, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 9:28 p.m. Jan. 18 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor; and failure to keep right, a violation.

Police said Clay was arrested during a traffic stop at on North Market Street.

He will appear later in City Court.

Man charged with DWI and violations

JOHNSTOWN — Karl D. Lakata, 22, of 114 Linden Ave., was charged by city police at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 19 with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and two lane violations.

Police said Lakata was arrested at 104 E. Main St. during a traffic stop.

He will appear later in City Court.

Woman arrested on Amsterdam warrant

JOHNSTOWN — Kathleen Vanalstine, 45, of 329 N. Perry St., was arrested by city police at 1:45 p.m. Jan. 19 on a warrant.

Police said she was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Amsterdam City Court.

She was held and turned over to the Amsterdam Police Department for arraignment.

Man charged with disorderly conduct

JOHNSTOWN — Patrick J. Hebert, 23, of 122 West St., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 3:35 p.m. Jan. 19 with disorderly conduct, a violation.

Police said he was charged at 303 N. Comrie Ave. for allegedly being disorderly.

He will appear later in City Court.

Man charged with two misdemeanors

JOHNSTOWN — Dominic M. Eplite, 36, of 116 Washington St., Apt. 1, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 1 a.m. Jan. 20 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal impersonation, both misdemeanors; and failure to stop at a stop sign, a violation.

Police said he was charged on Byard Street during a traffic stop.

He will appear later in City Court.
