Fultonville man faces two felonies


COBLESKILL — Joseph R. Raymer, 26, of Fultonville was charged with third-degree grand larceny and first-degree filing a false instrument, both felonies, by state police on Wednesday.

Troopers said Raymer’s charges related to an investigation into misuse of unemployment benefits. The arrest came after a joint investigation between the NYS Department of Labor and the state police Cobleskill Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the state police Cobleskill Road Patrol.

Raymer was arraigned in the Town Court on the charges and remanded to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility on no bail.
