Man charged with stealing copper
AMSTERDAM — State police at Mayfield arrested Edward P. Ruggerio, 28, of Amsterdam for third-degree grand larceny on Wednesday. Police said an investigation revealed that Ruggerio had allegedly stolen approximately $8,000 worth of copper from Power and Composite Technologies, LLC in the town of Amsterdam.
Ruggerio was arraigned in the city of Amsterdam Court and remanded to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
He’s due to return to the town of Amsterdam Court at a later date.
Inmate faces additional charges
JOHNSTOWN — Amanda E. Greenfield, 32, of 235 S. Main St., Gloversville, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s investigators Thursday with two felony counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property; and two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny.
Investigators said she was charged following an alleged offense in the town of Johnstown. She was charged at the County Jail, where she’s being held on other charges. Greenfield allegedly took a credit/debit card that didn’t belong to her and made withdrawals from various ATMs in the town of Johnstown, investigators said.
The suspect will be arraigned in Town Court at a later date.
Driver charged with driving while on drugs
MAYFIELD — Franky J. Ramos-Stack, 25, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Wednesday with first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
Driver faces DWI, multiple charges
STRATFORD — Dale T. Keck, 57, of Stratford was charged by state police on Tuesday with several traffic infractions and drunk driving.
Keck was charged with inadequate plate lamp, license plate violation, operating a motor vehicle without a license, having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, first offense DWI and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Snowmobiler faces several charges
WELLS — Richard L. Armstrong, 45, of Poughquag, was charged by state police on March 17 with third-degree fleeing a police officer, imprudent speed, reckless operation of a snowmobile, operating a snowmobile on a state highway and an equipment violation. Armstrong was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.
Man charged in February incident
AMSTERDAM — State police charged Joshua A. Mormille, 40, of Broadalbin with second-degree harassment for an incident which occurred Feb. 28.
