Felony drunk driving charged
GLOVERSVILLE — Donald A. Rumrill, 40, of 27 W. Pine St., was charged with aggravated DWI and other traffic violations by city police on Jan. 19 at 4:58 a.m.
While on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on West Pine Street on a vehicle driven by Rumrill for traffic violations. Police conducted a field sobriety test on Rumrill that yielded positive results for driving while under the influence of alcohol after smelling the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person.
Rumrill was transported to the station, processed and arraigned.
Walmart shopper charged with theft
GLOVERSVILLE — Summer D. Kurtz, 34, of 29 Addison St., was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, by city police on Jan. 20 at 6:55 p.m.
Officers responded to the Walmart at 329 S. Kingsboro Ave. for a larceny in progress. Police located the suspect, identified as Kurtz, who allegedly walked past all points of sale without paying for $79.03 worth of merchandise.
Kurtz was taken into custody and transported to the station where she was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable in City Court.
Refusal to leave NLH leads to charge
GLOVERSVILLE — Koren Hohenforst, 35, of 235 S. Main St., Apt. 2, was charged with trespassing, a violation, by city police on Jan. 18 at 3:57 a.m.
Officers responded to Nathan Littauer Hospital for the report of a female who was refusing to leave the property. Upon arrival, police identified the suspect as Hohenforst. Hohenforst continued to refuse to leave the property and was taken into custody for trespassing.
Hohenforst was transported to the station, processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in City Court.
Man charged with assault
MAYFIELD — Taquan Grady Mitchell, 30, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Friday with second-degree reckless endangerment and assault with intent to cause physical injury.
Mitchell was held pending arraignment.
Driver charged with pot possession
AMSTERDAM — Akira M. Hutchinson, 23, of Albany, was charged by state police on Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
Man charged in domestic incident
BROADALBIN — Jeffrey P. Stone, 32, of Broadalbin was charged by state police on Saturday with second-degree reckless endangerment and criminal obstruction of breathing. Stone was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.
