Woman accused of stealing from Walmart

GLOVERSVILLE — Bonnie L. Elwood, 48, of 856 N. Bush Road, Johnstown, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, by city police on Jan. 27 at 4:45 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 329 S. Kingsboro Ave. for the report of a female in custody for shoplifting. Once on scene, police were advised that Elwood was observed by store personnel to have passed all points of sale with merchandise totaling $100.36 without paying.

Elwood was transported to the station for processing and released on an appearance ticket returnable in City Court at a later date.

Driver facing felony drunk driving charge

AMSTERDAM — Jessica Cruz Perez, 27, of Lakeland, Florida was charged by state police on Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, a class E felony.

Perez was held for arraignment.

Woman charged with having pot

MAYFIELD — Regina N. Walter, 31, of Broadalbin was charged by state police on Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Woman cited for harassment

MINDEN — Cynthia A. Smith, 21, of Canajoharie was charged by state police on Sunday with second-degree aggravated harassment for an incident which occurred in Minden on Jan. 16.

Smith was released on an appearance ticket.

No shelter for dogs charged

MOHAWK —Mandy M. Lee, 38, of Johnstown was charged by state police on Saturday with no appropriate shelter for dogs at 10:38 p.m.

Driver cited for pot possession

LAKE GEORGE — Brody D. Zelezny, 22, of Fort Plain was charged by state police at 2:14 p.m. on Route 9 with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
