Driver faces two DWI charges
GLOVERSVILLE — Taylor R. Baurle, 23, of 63 Park St., was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated by city police on Saturday at 2:32 a.m.
While on patrol, officers conducted a traffic stop on Baurle’s vehicle on Spring Street for vehicle and traffic law violations. During the course of investigation, police had reason to believe Baurle was driving under the influence of alcohol and conducted a field sobriety test that yielded positive results.
Baurle was transported to the station for processing and released on an appearance ticket returnable in City Court at a later date.
Traffic stop reveals passenger had warrant
GLOVERSVILLE — Mark J. Tomek, 34, of 3 Cummings Ave., Johnstown, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
The bench warrant for Tomek was issued out of City Court for failure to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended registration. Tomek was located in a vehicle stopped by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and turned over to the Gloversville Police Department.
Tomek was processed and held for arraignment.
Warrant issued for January incident
GLOVERSVILLE — Greg L. Christiano, 45, of 219 Hunter Heights Road, Northville, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant on a charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by city police on May 20 at 7:35 p.m.
The outstanding arrest warrant for Christiano was issued out of City Court stemming from an incident that occurred on Jan. 16 at 4 p.m.
Christiano was processed and held for arraignment.
Failure to appear leads to arrest
GLOVERSVILLE — Alfio Coco, 27, of 17 South Chase St., Johnstown, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on May 20 at 10:30 p.m.
The warrant was issued out of City Court for failure to appear on an original charge of petit larceny stemming from an incident that occurred at the Walmart at 325 Kingsboro Ave. Ext. on Feb. 20 at 8:15 p.m. Coco was located by police during a traffic stop on East Fulton Street.
Coco was transported to the station where he was processed and arraigned in City Court.
Man charged with menacing, fleeing
GLOVERSVILLE — Shane S. Ward, 25, of 66 Washington St., was charged with third-degree menacing and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration by city police on Thursday at 11:17 p.m.
Shane was taken into custody on West Street by officer responding to a burglary in progress complaint. During the course of investigation, police learned that Ward menaced a male. When officers attempted to interview Ward as a suspect in the incident, he allegedly fled the area, but was apprehended.
Ward was arraigned in City Court.
Failure to appear leads to warrant
GLOVERSVILLE — Kassandra C. Vannostrand, 27, of 101 Church Hill Road, St. Johnsville, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on Saturday at 8:15 a.m.
The bench warrant for Vannostrand was issued out of City Court for failure to appear. Vannostrand was located by city police during a traffic stop.
Vannostrand was processed and held for arraignment.
