Woman charged with felony DWI

JOHNSTOWN — Crystal A. Allen, 40, of 506 Route 29A, Gloversville, was charged by city police at 5:02 p.m. Thursday with felony driving while intoxicated; and aggravated DWI, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and an interlock violation, all misdemeanors.

Police said that Allen was charged on Bloomingdale Avenue after a 4:15 p.m. report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch. During an investigation into the incident, it was learned the driver of the vehicle, Allen, was allegedly intoxicated and possessed a suspended New York state driver’s license, police said.

Allen will appear later in City Court.

Arrest made for probation violation

GLOVERSVILLE — Heather L. Carpenter, 35, of 388 County Highway 101, was taken into custody on an active bench warrant by city police on June 7 at 9:59 a.m.

The bench warrant for Carpenter was issued out of City Court due to a probation violation. Carpenter was located by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department and turned over to the Gloversville Police Department.

Carpenter was processed and held for arraignment.

Endangering a child, contempt charged

GLOVERSVILLE — Owen J. Bailey, 24, of Gloversville, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree criminal contempt, both class A misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation, by city police on June 12 at 7:57 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to an address in the city for a domestic violence incident and during the course of investigation discovered that Bailey violated an active “refrain from” order of protection obtained by the victim and her juvenile son. Police allege Bailey violated the order of protection when he verbally harassed the victim and became physical with the victim’s juvenile son.

Bailey was taken into custody and transported to the station where he was processed. Bailey was arraigned in City Court.

Traffic stop leads to warrant arrest

GLOVERSVILLE — Solomon A. Wilson, 57, of 120 Market St., Johnstown, was taken into custody on an active parole warrant by city police on June 14 at 4:49 a.m.

While conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on Division Street for a traffic violation, police located Wilson as a passenger in the vehicle and found he was wanted for a violation of parole.

Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the Fulton County Correctional Facility.

Felony DWI charged in stop

GLOVERSVILLE — Eileen Winsman, 51, of 164 S. Melcher Ext., Johnstown, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated by city police on Saturday at 4:34 a.m.

Winsman was taken into custody following a traffic stop on South Main Street. During the course of investigation police learned that Winsman was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Winsman was arraigned in City Court.

Man charged with drug possession

GLOVERSVILLE — Shane C. Hisert, 39, of 194 Eaker Road, Fort Plain, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by city police on Monday at 1:05 a.m.

Hisert was taken into custody on East State Street following a suspicious vehicle complaint. During the course of investigation, Hisert was allegedly found in possession of a quantity of narcotics.

Hisert was arraigned in City Court.
