Man charged with possession of weapon

PERTH — Thomas J. Kelly Jr., 24, of 4293 Route 30, Lot 77, town of Perth, was charged by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies at 10:10 a.m. Friday with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony; and second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

Deputies said Kelly was charged following investigation of a shooting incident at about 1 a.m. June 16 in the town.

He will appear later in Town Court.

Driver charged for suspended license

AMSTERDAM — Richard C. Rumrill, 45, of 54 Jay St., Apt. 1, was charged on Sunday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Rumrill was processed and released on appearance tickets returnable to Amsterdam City Court.

Woman arrested for suspended license

AMSTERDAM — Miranda J. Young, 28, of 10 Edson St., was charged on Friday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Young was operating a vehicle on Route 5 in Amsterdam for a traffic violation and during the investigation deputies found she was driving with a suspended license.

She was processed and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Amsterdam Town Court at a later date.

Man picked up for driving while drunk

FORT PLAIN — Raymond Leo Mojica, 37, of 5696 Route 5, Palatine Bridge was charged on June 25 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, driving while intoxicated, driving with no seatbelt and unauthorized sticker.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop in which Mojica was the driver. During the traffic stop, deputies conducted a standardized field sobriety tests and Mojica was placed under arrest for DWI. A subsequent chemical test revealed Mojica’s BAC was .13 percent.

He was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to Minden Town Court.

Man charged for suspended registration

AMSTERDAM — Frank N. Sawyer, 42, of Troy was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies on June 24, with operating with a suspended registration, failure to provide proof of vehicle insurance and expired inspection.

Sawyer was released on the scene and is to appear at Amsterdam City Court at a later date.
