Truck driver hits bridge, leaves scene

MOHAWK — Charlie Lee Evans Jr., 53, of 2958 Laurel Court, Dunedin, Florida was charged on Friday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for disobeying traffic control device, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, overlength combination vehicle, no highway use tax permit, and log book violation.

On Aug. 6, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a report of debris in the roadway on Route 334 in Mohawk near the train trestle bridge. Upon arrival, the deputy determined a truck had struck the bridge and left the scene. The truck and driver, who was determined to be Evans, were located at CG Roxanne Spring Water in Johnstown.

Investigation showed he allegedly disobeyed several posted signs, stuck the bridge and left the scene.

Evans was released on appearance tickets returnable to Mohawk Town Court at later date.

Fugitive from justice charged

FONDA — Randy S. Danburg, 34, of 638 E. Lykers Road, Sprakers, was charged on Saturday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, unlicensed operation and fugitive from justice.

Danburg’s vehicle alerted a license plate reader of suspended registration. A traffic stop was conducted and file checks revealed Danburg did not possess a driver’s license and he had an active felony warrant from 2016 for absconding from probation in Arizona.

He was taken into custody and held pending arraignment.

Woman charged with harassment

PALATINE — Crysti E. Walrath, 41, of Budget Inn Hotel, Room 128, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with second-degree harassment and threat of or use of physical force.

Sheriff’s deputies reported to the Budget Inn Hotel for a harassment complaint.

Walrath was processed at the scene and scheduled to appear in Palatine Town Court on Aug. 27.

Indecent material charged Thursday

MAYFIELD — Lacey M. Utter, 20, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Thursday with second-degree criminal contempt for failure to obey a court order, first-degree giving indecent material to minors, a class D felony, and endangering the welfare of a child for an incident which occurred on Aug. 3.

Man facing harassment charge

ROOT — Raymond J. Zemken, 60, of Sprakers was charged by state police on Wednesday with second-degree harassment with physical contact for an incident which occurred on July 13 in Fonda.

Zemken was arraigned and released in his own recognizance.

Woman charged with drunk driving

JOHNSTOWN — Valerie L. Miseno, 41, of Gloversville was charged by state police on Saturday with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.
