Deputies: Man was wanted on warrant

PALATINE — Marc W. Florence, 31, of 93 E. Grand St. in Palatine Bridge was taken into custody on a bench warrant by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies on Sept. 3.

Deputies said Florence was wanted on a warrant for failure to pay a fine. Florence allegedly failed to pay off a balance of $511 in fines and surcharges from a prior criminal case in Town Court dating back to 2016.

Florence was arraigned in Town Court and released on a personal recognizance bond. Florence is scheduled to reappear at a later date.

Troopers: Man sent crude, harassing texts

AMSTERDAM — Corey R. Coulter, 50, of Schenectady was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment by state police on Thursday.

Troopers said on Aug. 12 they received a complaint from a female who stated that she was getting harassing text messages on her cell phone. The victim was contacted by an unknown number. The texts seemed innocuous at first, but became crude and harassing. The sender used the victim’s name and physical description in the messages, demonstrating that they were familiar with one another, but declining to identify themselves.

Phone records were obtained and traced the unknown number to Corey Coulter.

Investigation revealed that the victim had been overheard by Coulter when she was placing a food order over the phone, and had provided her cell phone number to the restaurant.

Coulter was arrested and processed at the Fonda station. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Town Court on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Woman charged with petit larceny

JOHNSTOWN — Stacey A. Mickle, 44, of Amsterdam was charged with petit larceny and fourth-degree grand larceny —credit card, a felony, by state police on Saturday.

Troopers said Mickle was issued a ticket to appear in Town Court on a later date.

Man charged with criminal possession

GALWAY — Mark Jody Powers, 26, of Broadalbin was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance by state police on Saturday.

Troopers said Powers was issued a ticket for Town Court on a later date.

Troopers: Man charged with DWI

ROTTERDAM — Benjamin L. Blair, 33, of Amsterdam was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent.

Troopers said Blair was issued a ticket for Town Court on a later date.

Man charged with DWI on Sept. 4

ROTTERDAM — Raymond M. Hutchins, 50, of Gloversville was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent and driving while intoxicated —first offense by state police on Sept. 4.

Troopers said Hutchins was released to a third party.

Troopers: Man charged with DWI

ROTTERDAM —Konstantino Avgerakis, 48 of Gloversville was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent and driving while intoxicated —first offense by state police on Wednesday.

Troopers said Avgerakis was issued a ticket to appear in Town Court.
