Possession of a forged instrument
AMSTERDAM — Carlos R. Rivera, 36, of Amsterdam was charged by state police on Friday with petit larceny and first-degree possession of a forged instrument, a class C felony.
Driving while on drugs charged
MILTON — Mark Jody Powers, 27, of Broadalbin was charged by state police on Friday with driving while ability impaired — drugs, with a prior conviction within 10 years, a class E felony.
Powers was released to a third party.
Felony criminal mischief charged
MAYFIELD — Dylan C. McPhail, 20, of Scotia was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony.
Driving charged with drunk driving
AMSTERDAM — Malik J. Buster, 24, of Johnstown was charged by state police on Sunday with driving while intoxicated and having a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.
Fleeing scene, driver gets DWI
HAGAMAN — Manuel Muniz, 36, of 25 Church St., was charged on Saturday by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with driving with a 0.08 percent blood-alcohol content or more, driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit a breath test.
Muniz was stopped after he fled the scene of a domestic incident in the village of Hagaman. During the stop, deputies learned he had allegedly operated the vehicle while intoxicated.
He was processed at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and released on appearance tickets returnable to Amsterdam Town Court at a later date. State police are handling the initial report for the domestic incident.
Man allegedly threatens with knife
PALATINE — Joseph M. Kuntzsch, 64, of 61 Route 5, Apt. 3, was charged on Oct. 20, by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with second-degree menacing.
Kuntzsch was charged after allegedly threatening another male with a kitchen knife. He was transported to the Montgomery Count Sheriff’s Office where he was held pending arraignment.
Passenger gives false information
AMSTERDAM — Pablo J. Rodriguez, 32, of 68 Mechanic St., was charged on Oct. 19 by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies with false impersonation and open container.
Rodriguez was the passenger in a motor vehicle that stopped on Clizbe Road in the city of Amsterdam. While stopped, he allegedly provided deputies with a false name and date of birth.
He was processed at the Sheriff’s Office where he was released on appearance tickets returnable to Amsterdam City Court.
No taillights leads to drug charges
JOHNSTOWN — Walter E. Allen, 50, of 13 Fourth Ave., Gloversville, was charged by city police at 12:02 a.m. Sept. 22 with misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and operation of a motor vehicle without tail lamps.
Police said officers arrested Allen on O’Neil Avenue after stopping the vehicle he was driving for a lighting infraction. During a subsequent investigation, he was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine and a used glass pipe.
He was released to appear later in City Court.
