Arrest made on warrant

AMSTERDAM — Juan A. Vazquez-Ortiz, 21, of 6 Vrooman Ave., Amsterdam, was arrested by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies April 13 on a warrant for a previous conviction for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Deputies said he was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court.

He was returned back to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail; $2,000 bond; and $20,000 partially-secured bond to await further court action.

No interlock, speeding charged

PALATINE — Too Nu, 33, of 1407 Lincoln Ave., Utica, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies April 13 with speed in zone, and operating without ignition interlock device, a misdemeanor.

Deputies said he was charged following a traffic stop for an alleged speeding infraction. Deputies said state Department of Motor Vehicle records showed Nu’s state Learner’s Permit required the use of an ignition interlock device due to a prior conviction for DWI.

Nu will appear at 7 p.m. May 4 in Town Court.

Unlicensed, no registration charge

AMSTERDAM — Michael T. Patterson, 28, of 828 Stone Arabia Road, Palatine, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies at 5 a.m. April 15 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operation of a motor vehicle with suspended registration, operation of a motor vehicle without a required interlock device, and open container.

Deputies said Patterson was charged following a traffic stop on Route 67 in the town of Amsterdam.

He will appear at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Town Court.

Unlicensed, plates improper charged

PALATINE — Jessica I. Nolan, 37, of 601 Lakeview Road, Broadalbin, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies April 7 with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and improper plates.

Deputies said she was charged as the result of a vehicle stop in the town of Palatine.

Nolan will appear later in Town Court.

Traffic stop leads to felony drug charge

PALATINE — Marcella L. Harris, 49, of 6 W. Shore St., Little Falls, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies April 18 with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Deputies said she was charged following a traffic stop on Route 5 in the town of Palatine. Deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view and conducted a search of her vehicle. Located and seized was a quantity of crack cocaine from Harris and her vehicle, deputies said.

Harris will appear later in Town Court.

Speeding leads to no license charge

MOHAWK — Joshua D. Fegley, 23, of 74 Fremont St., Apt. 5, Gloversville, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies April 22 with speeding — 72 mph in a 55 mph zone; and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Deputies said he was charged following a traffic stop on Stoner Trail Road in the town of Mohawk. A state Department of Motor Vehicles check revealed his driver’s license was suspended for alleged failure to answer a summons, deputies said.

Fegley will appear May 4 in Town Court.
