∫ Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Artists’ Gallery Fall Exhibit: Fulton County Visitor Center, Routes 29 and 30, Vail Mills. Free and open to the public. Gallery is open weekends.

∫ Jon Segan, painter-sculptor: Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. Micropolis member artists work on display will include paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, sculpture, jewelry and pottery. The gallery, inside Mohawk Harvest, is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The show will run through Monday. Fishing

∫ The Youth Fishing Derby will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wohlfarth’s Pond, 44 S. McNab Ave., in Gloversville.

The event is open to children 15 and under and is free.

Bring your own poles and earthworms. This will be a hook and worm, catch and release competition. No mealworms are allowed. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and will be open throughout the day.

Trophies will be awarded for the most fish caught, largest fish caught in each age group, first fish caught and smallest fish caught. Each child who catches a fish will receive an award ribbon in recognition of their accomplishment.

Library

Today

∫ The Johnstown Public Library will be hold a reading and discussion program for adults called “Votes for Women” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The program facilitator is Lauren Kozakiewicz, Ph.D.

Books will be provided by the Humanities Council and the Consortium.
