∫ Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Artists’ Gallery Exhibit: Fulton County Visitor Center, Routes 29 and 30, Vail Mills. Free and open to the public. Gallery is open weekends.

∫ Dan Bridge: Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. Micropolis member artists work on display will include paintings, drawings, pastels, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, jewelry, pottery, woodland assemblages and fine art cards. Also on display will be the ceramics of Katie Santomartino, the newest member. The gallery, inside Mohawk Harvest, is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The show will run through February. ∫ Winter art show: Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville. Public can view the work from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Gallery admission is $5; free to PNAC members and children under 18. The show will hang through March 26.

∫ Shirley Jacobs: Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., Fonda. The artwork exhibit can be viewed during library hours through February.

Winter events


∫ Mayfield Community Group annual winter carnival: Mayfield Lake, Pump House Road (off Woodside Avenue), 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Events include youth fishing contest; kids, women and men frying pan contest; broom ball, ice skating, football toss, kids hockey puck game and ice bowling; kids cardboard box derby.
