∫ Linda Hinkle — artist of the month: Frothingham Free Library, 28 W. Main St., Fonda. The artwork exhibit can be viewed during library hours. The work will be on display through August.
∫ Janene Bouck — Sacandaga Valley Arts Network Gallery photography exhibit: Northville Library, 341 S. Third St., Northville. The exhibit will be on display through the end of August.
∫ Kevin Kuhne featured artist: Micropolis Gallery, 30 N. Main St., Gloversville. Kuhne works in watercolor as the main medium and mixed media constructions. Paintings, drawings, pastels, photographs, fiber art, batik, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, jewelry, pottery, woodland assemblages and fine art cards by Micropolis artists are also on display. The show, which is free and open to the public, runs through August from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
∫2019 New York State Summer Art Show: Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville. The fourth annual state Summer Art Show, celebrating the work of artists from across the state through Oct. 23. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. ∫ Color Splash Fun Run & Walk: Paul Nigra Center for the Creative Arts, 2736 Route 30, Gloversville. Registration 9 a.m.. Run begins at 10:30 a.m. All proceeds will benefit the Arts Center. The entry fee is $25 per person (advance registration) and $30 in person the day of the event. Children 5 and younger are admitted free (no shirt provided). Throughout the family fun course, runners and walkers will be splashed with washable color dust. The dust is non-toxic and washable. The race will not be timed. Participants will be able to purchase fun items the day of the event such as sunglasses, socks, rainbow wigs and tutus. Water will be available on site.
