Parents: Jennifer and Edward Szumowski

College or other plans: I will be attending the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the fall.

Plans after college: To perform as an international musician in orchestral, operatic, and film settings.

What is the memory of high school you will never forget: Performing with the BP Cover Band! We performed for a few occasions and had a blast each time. I love Mr. Graves and Mr. Hitrick and their dedication to our music department. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to extend a thank you to both of them for everything they’ve done to support me throughout my musical development thus far!

Which teacher had the biggest impact on you and why: Laura Jacaruso, as she has been my mentor and friend for the last six years. She encouraged me to join ESYO five years ago, which fostered my love for orchestral music, and influenced my decision to dedicate my life to making music.

What’s in your music player: Everything! I listen to every type of music. I love it all.
