Robert and Alice Megargle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 17 at Mountain Memories on the Hill, Wells.
There were 36 guests who attended the evening meal. Their son, Alan Megargle, and Holly Butterfield came from Painesville, Ohio. Alice Megargle’s brother and wife, Bill and Betty Grant, came from Potsdam, St. Lawrence County. There were four who attended from Vermont and two from Nyack, Rockland County. Bill Grant gave the toast.
The couple married on Aug. 17, 1963, at the Methodist Church, Potsdam, with the Rev. Frank Halse officiating.
