Shirley and Fred Sanges of Gloversville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Wine and Roses in Broadalbin, surrounded by their children and some of their grandchildren.
The couple married on Aug. 16, 1953, at the former Mount Carmel Church, Gloversville.
They had three children, Debbie McCann (Wayne), Jim Sanges, and the late Rick Sanges, who passed away in 2004, and daughter-in-law Lisa Sanges.
They have seven grandchildren, Jessica Howard (David), Ciara Hassenpflug (Kurt), Nicholas and Samantha Sanges, Zachary, Felicia and Dawson Sanges, and a great-grandchild is on the way.
