JOHNSTOWN -The Johnstown High School Class of 1946 celebrated their 67th anniversary on Sept. 18 at a luncheon at the Holiday Inn. There were 17 class members and seven guests who attended.
Marie Kitchen Valachovic was the mistress of ceremony and welcomed those present.
Alan Cole gave both the invocation and the benediction. A moment of silence was held in honor of the 70 deceased class members.
Valachovic and Peggy Follett Koloss read humorous readings and anecdotes.
Beverlie Pitts Cole read letters that she received from classmates that were unable to attend which included: Eloise Wood Guy of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Frasier Henry of Basking Ridge, N.J.; Elizabeth Salamack Huffman of Lewiston, Idaho; and Norma Hastings Kelley of Leeds, Greene County.
Joseph Ruggeri of Broadalbin sent a notice that he was unable to attend.
Those attending agreed to meet in September 2014 for the 68th anniversary.
The committee members: Marilyn House Johnson, Beverlie Pitts Cole, and Tret Zilka Sweet were asked again to be in charge of the next reunion.
Following the benediction, the Alma Mater and Victory Song of the school were sung.
