Wells seniors to head to Lowville

WELLS — The Wells Senior Citizens Club has three travel trips planned for the summer. The members and friends are welcome to sign up for the trips by calling (518) 924-2220 or at the Wells Nutrition Center Meal Site.

June 12: A day trip to Lowville, Lewis County, to view the Maple Ridge Wind Farm and hear an hour presentation at the wind farm visitor’s center. The lunch will be at Tug Hill Vineyards with a pasta buffet. The trip also includes a stop at Nolt’s Country Store. The cost for the trip is $45 due by May 9. Travel will be by Brown’s Tour Bus.

July 31: A day trip to Lake George Dinner Theater at the Holiday Inn. The play is “Jerry Finnegan’s Sister.” The cost for the event is $57 due by July 11. Travel will be by school bus or car pool. Also on Sept. 19, the Sacandaga Seniors will be going to see “The Long Weekend” for the same price. Call (518) 863-6182 for the Sept. 19 show.

Aug. 17: A day trip to Schroon Lake, Essex County, for a musical and lunch. Lunch will be at Sticks and Stones Wood Fired Bistro and Bar and the show “Mame” is at Seagle Music Colony. The cost for the show is $41 with lunch on one’s own. Travel will be by school bus or car pool.

The Wells Seniors is open to all 55 years and over with annual dues of $10. The meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month at 12:45 p.m. (except December) at the meal site on Buttermilk Hill Road. Lunch is available at noon by calling (518) 924-4066 for reservations.
