FONDA — The Glen-Mohawk Seniors met on Tuesday at the Fonda Reformed Church hall. The refreshments before the meeting were provided by Lu Wilmot, Louise Boyer, Phyllis Smith and Betsy Saltsman.
There were 28 members present.
An important bylaws change was read for the third time and will be voted on at the July 17, meeting.
The group will meet on Tuesday, at St. Kateri Shrine for their annual picnic, white elephant sale and bingo.
The catered half barbecue chicken entrees will come with a variety of picnic foods prepared by Wilmot and the trip committee. Lu said she has 31 signed up so far.
There are still openings for the trip to Lancaster, Pa. on Aug. 20 to 22. This two-night trip includes the Sight and Sound Theatres production of “Jesus,” the musical stage adventure. For more information and/or to make a reservation, call Wilmot at (518) 853-3906.
Joe Mancini’s gave some humorous readings. Martha Hensel and D. Dorine Dimond won the prize drawings. Nine members stayed for bingo following the meeting.
The next regular meeting will be on July 17, at Fonda Reformed Church. The meetings begin at 10:30 a.m. and there is a social time with refreshments, beginning around 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and see if this group is what they want to be a part of.
