BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin Senior Citizens Club met on Jan. 22, at the Broadalbin Presbyterian Church, 54 W. Main St. The club meets every other Wednesday at noon. New members are welcome. The next meeting will be Feb. 19.
The meeting was called to order by President Toni Hallenbeck at noon. The Pledge of Alliance and a prayer were said. All members and guests were welcomed.
Jennifer Gilston, treasurer, reported the club has 109 paid members this year.
Sunshine: Janet Austin, committee chairman, reported she mailed get well cards to Bob Montenaro, Anne Sargalis, Linda Gray, Carol Cramer and Joan Burden.
Program: Karen Marion, committee chairman, noted Joan Scott won the gift basket raffle. The 50-50 raffle was won by Richard Stack.
The club’s annual Valentine’s Day party will be Feb. 19.
Trips: Hallenbeck, committee chairman, noted the trip to “Hello Dolly” was canceled.
Trip committee: The following are upcoming trips.
∫ March 11: The Saratoga High School Drama Club production of “Shrek The Musical.” The cost is $15. which includes the show, transportation and dinner at the Golden Corral.
∫ May 17 to 22: Myrtle Beach, S.C. The cost is $682 per person/double which includes transportation, five night accommodations, five breakfasts and three dinners.
∫ June 8 to 17: Scotland — visit spots include Glasgow, Ballachulish, the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness. The cost is $3,999 per person/double.
∫ July 6 to 16: Renaissance of Culture cruise — visit Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga, Klaipeda, Gdansk, Copenhagen , Gothenburg and Islo. The cost is $6503 per person/double.
∫ Sept. 22: The eastern states expedition — The cost is $35 which includes transportation and admission to the fair.
