New plastic bag law talk on Wednesday

BROADALBIN — The Broadalbin Senior Citizens Club met on Feb. 5, at the Broadalbin Presbyterian Church.

The meeting was called to order and 68 members and two guests attended.

Jennifer Gilston, treasurer, reported there are 129 paid members of the club.

Sunshine Committee: Janet Austin, chairman, noted she sent a get well card to Joan Burden and June Zea. The members sang “Happy Birthday” to the club members who have February birthdays.

At the club’s next meeting on Wednesday:

∫ There will be a guest speaker from Hannaford, who will discuss the new law concerning reusable bags.

∫ The club’s annual Valentine’s Day party.

The 50-50 raffle was won by Carol Martin.
