Stratford Seniors set to meet March 10

STRATFORD — The Stratford Seniors had their February meeting. Tiffany Rutkowski, a business owner in Dolgeville, discussed flowers and plants. She presented the seniors with either a dish garden or a live flower. The group all exchanged Valentine cards.

The need for vendors at the group’s annual craft fair on July 18, was discussed. They still have inside (8 foot by 10 foot) spaces and outside (10 foot by 10 foot) spaces available for the fee of $20 for inside and $15 for outside. It was decided that Caroline Drake would be the contact person for any vendor that is interested. She can be reached at (315) 360-7582.

The following is the calendar for March. Anyone 50 years or older from any community is welcome to attend.

March 3: The group’s game day at the Stratford Town Hall. Bring own lunch and maybe something to share. Gather at 11 a.m. to socialize over lunch and then spend the afternoon playing the game(s) of choice.

March 10: The regular meeting day at the Stratford Town Hall. The group will begin arriving anytime after 11 a.m. The actual meeting starts at noon with the Pledge of Allegiance and a short devotion and prayer. Then the seniors eat — this month members will be bringing green covered dishes. The changes in the group’s bylaws will be discussed and voted on. A sample T-shirt with the group’s logo on it will be present and sizes can be ordered.

March 17: A game day at the Stratford Town Hall; same as above.

March 24: The place to eat for the Traveling Lunch Bunch will be the Main Moon Buffet, Ilion, Herkimer County. They gather around 11:30 a.m. and order about noon.

March 31: A game day at the Stratford Town Hall; same as above.
