STRATFORD — The Stratford Seniors April news.
Going green for the group’s last meeting was an idea. The food was plentiful. The bylaws were passed and an updated officer list was available. The spaces for the craft fair in July are coming along. There are only five indoors spaces left and still several outdoor spaces.
Daphne Sydow from the Office for the Aging was the guest speaker. She updated the seniors on changes in the Medicare saving program, income limits, Meals on Wheels and coronavirus protection. Since the Census forms come out the end of March, she will be bringing a laptop to the next meeting to help anyone who is having problems filling out the Census.
The group will have a brunch on March 19, at the Peaceful Valley Maple Farms. Johnstown, and will share some leisure time with members of the other clubs.
April 7: A game day at the Stratford Town Hall. Learn canasta, scrabble, challenge someone at backgammon, throw dice with yahtzee or any game anyone wants to bring. Bring lunch and maybe some dessert to share. The seniors begin gathering at 11 a.m. and start playing around noon.
April 14: A regular meeting day at the Stratford Town Hal1. The seniors begin arriving after 11 a.m. The meeting starts with the Pledge of Allegiance and a short devotion and prayer at noon right after, the group eats.
