Simonds-Blanchard

Alisha L. Blanchard, daughter of Steve and Diane Cornaire of Duanesburg and Carl Blanchard of Caroga Lake, was united in marriage to Aaron G. Simonds, son of Burton and Jayne Simonds of Gloversville, on Saturday, June 8, 2013.

The ceremony took place at the Johnstown Moose Lodge. Jason White officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Ashley Schotts of Broadalbin. The bridal attendants were: Melissa Blanchard of Caroga Lake and Stacie Cornaire of Palmyra, sisters of the bride; Kayla Montano of Oneonta, sister of the groom; Jennifer Ellsworth of Gloversville and Tara Sweet of Northville.

The best man was Jason Ellsworth of Gloversville, cousin of the groom. The ushers were: Carl Blanchard of Caroga Lake and Nick Cornaire of Duanesburg, brothers of the bride; Nick Montano of Oneonta, brother of the groom; Steve Swart, cousin of the groom, and Brian Johnson, both of Gloversville.

A reception of 160 guests took place after the ceremony at the Johnstown Moose Lodge.

A wedding trip was taken to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The couple resides with their son, Aiden Simonds, in Gloversville.
