Alyson K. Payne, the daughter of Patricia Payne of Gloversville and Todd Payne of Mayfield, was united in marriage to Eric C. Drnek, the son of Rick and Laura Drnek of Mastic Beach, Suffolk County, at 3 p.m. Sept. 23.
The ceremony took place at the St. John’s Episcopal Church, Johnstown. The Rev. Laurie Garramone officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.
The matron of honor was Elizabeth Pawloski. The bridesmaids were Ashley Tank and Abby Wilcox.
The best man was Rick Drnek. The groomsmen were Donald Wildman and Kenny Williams.
A reception for 95 guests took place at the Eccentric Club, Gloversville.
A wedding trip will take place in December in Antigua. The couple resides in Mastic Beach.
The bride, who is a 2004 graduate of Gloversville High School, is a 2007 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology with an associate’s degree in advertising design, a 2009 graduate of Long Island University — C.W. Post with a bachelor of fine art degree in photography, a 2012 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College with a certificate in medical diagnostic sonography. She is employed at an obstetrician-gynecologist office as an ultrasound technician in Patchogue, Suffolk County.
The bridegroom, who is a 2005 graduate of the William Floyd High School, Mastic Beach, is a 2013 graduate of Suffolk County Community College with an associate’s degree in liberal arts with a minor of psychology. He is employed at his family business of installing carpets, blinds and flooring.
