Teen charged with having stolen property
JOHNSTOWN — An 18-year-old male from Amsterdam was charged by state police on Tuesday at 4:50 a.m. with one count of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property with a value greater than $3,000, a class D felony.
The teen was released on an appearance ticket.
17-year-old accused of assault, contempt
OPPENHEIM —A 17-year-old male from Dolgeville was charged by state police with assault on a non-participant during a felony, a class D felony, and first-degree criminal contempt with physical contact, a class E felony, for an incident in Oppenheim earlier in the evening.
The teen was released to a third-party.
Driver facing impersonation charge
GLEN — Theresa L. Godlewski, 36, of Ballston Spa, was charge by state police on Sunday with second-degree criminal impersonation and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation for an incident which occurred in the town of Amsterdam on Thursday.
Unsafe start, other charges lodged
AMSTERDAM — Jessica D. Hayes, 33, of 74 W. Main St., Broadalbin, was charged by Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies April 21 with two counts of unsafe start, moving from lane unsafely, and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.
Deputies said she was charged following a traffic stop on Route 30 in the town of Amsterdam. A state Department of Motor Vehicles check revealed her registration was suspended for an alleged insurance lapse, deputies said.
Hayes will appear May 4 in Town Court.
Man sets trailer on fire, threatens police
BROADALBIN — Matthew A. Parrotti, 49, of 419 Union Mills Road, Lot 11, Broadalbin, was arrested by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies April 16, charged with charged with fifth-degree arson, menacing a police officer, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Deputies said he was charged following an incident that occurred in the town of Broadalbin on March 16.
It is alleged Parrotti set fire to his trailer and threatened police with a large knife. He was Tased by a sheriff’s corporal and placed in custody. Police were called to his home and ended up in a standoff with Parrotti that lasted several hours.
Members of the state police, Broadalbin Volunteer Fire Department, Emergency Management Office, and GAVAC assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.
Parrotti will appear later in Town Court.
Man facing burglary charge
EDINBURG — On Friday, the New York State Police in Mayfield arrested 31-year-old Mark T. Labrake Jr. of Hagaman, for first-degree burglary, a class B felony.
Labrake is accused of forcing entry into a residence in the town of Edinburgh shortly after 11 p.m. on April 21. Once inside the home, he had a physical altercation with the homeowner. Labrake and the homeowner were previously known to one another. Labrake left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Labrake turned himself in at the state police barracks in Fonda. He was virtually arraigned in Wilton Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due in Edinburgh Town Court on June 7 at 5 p.m.
