Beverly “Bev” Peet, 93, of Liverpool passed away Thursday at his home.
Bev was an Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII. He was a graduate of RPI, and upon graduation became an instructor there. He was a former employee of Western Mass Electric and retired from Niagara Mohawk.
Bev was a member of Liverpool K of C Council 7928 and Liverpool American Legion Post 188. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and worked with disabled children in area swimming pools.
He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Thomas Peet Jr., P. J. Young, and his sister, Marie Eignor.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Helen Peet, daughter, Constance Young of Liverpool, son, Thomas Peet of Ballston Spa, sister, Rhoda Curran of Gloversville, brother Robert Brandow, of California, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, nephews, granddogs and cats and foster grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday December 30, 2012 at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Prayer service will be 9:15 a.m. Monday December 31, 2012 at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool. Rite of Committal and Burial and Military Honors will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
