Eleanor Mann Klena, 92, of Johnstown, N.Y., died peacefully at St Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, N.Y., after a short illness on January 19, 2013. Born on November 2, 1920, to Earl and Mae (Buames) Mann, she resided in the Johnstown-Caroga Lake area most of her adult life. Eleanor married Paul Klena in 1949. They spent 55 years together before his death in 2004. She also was predeceased by her siblings: a brother, Chester A. Mann; and two sisters, Virginia Mann Benson and Beatrice Mann Luft. Eleanor is survived by: two nephews, Robert (Gloria) Mann of Bradenton, Fla., and Maylon (Sharon) Luft of Rotterdam, N.Y.; three nieces, Gloria Goss of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Donna (Randy) Cutting of Esperance, N.Y., and Marlene (Michael) Adamczak of N. Adams, Mass. Private services will be made at the discretion of the family.
