Mrs. Bonnie L. Allen, 68, of Gloversville, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Capstone Rehabilitation Center in Amsterdam following a long illness.
Mrs. Allen was born on December 19, 1944, in Glens Falls, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Lewis) Reynolds.
She had worked for the Lexington Center in Gloversville and also delivered newspapers in the area.
Mrs. Allen was an avid bowler in her earlier years and was a member of several of the Gloversville area bowling leagues. She also enjoyed playing cards and completing crossword puzzles.
She was married to Walter C. Allen, who passed away in 2003. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Walter G. Allen Jr. in 2011; and a brother, Daniel Reynolds in 2012.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Valerie) Vadnais of Ballston Spa, N.Y., Duane C. Allen of Gloversville, Daniel (Stephanie Sweet) Allen of Gloversville, Lori L. Allen of Gloversville, Roxanne Tyrell of Gloversville and Teresa (Hector Reyes) Allen of Gloversville; two sisters, Sylvia Reynolds of Gloversville and Joyce Reynolds of Boonville.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013, at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St., Gloversville.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Spring interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
