Illah T. Picente, 75, of Gloversville, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. She was born on December 11, 1937, in Saranac Lake, N.Y., the daughter of the late Elzear and Clydia Gorrow LeBlanc.
She was employed at the Nathan Littauer Hospital, working in the housekeeping department for many years, and lastly worked for Walmart Distribution Center in Johnstown. She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses Church and loved and adored her cats.
Survivors include: her three sons, Frank Picente Jr. and his wife, Joan of Indiana, Michael Picente and his wife, Tressea of Kentucky and Mark Picente of Kansas; one daughter, Janine Griffey and her husband, Joe of Indiana; two sisters, Dorothy Beach of Gloversville and Nancy Beran of Bouckville. Several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Bonita Spencer.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the James A. Brennan Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Road, Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gloversville Funeral Service.
