Norma A. Rauer, age 93, of St. Johnsville, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long illness.
She was born in Gloversville on September 8, 1919, a daughter of the late Harry Westover and Anna Lawrence Westover.
Norma worked for many years as a glove worker at the former Leon Swears Glove Company in Johnstown. She was a member of the Oneida Moose and the Johnstown Moose.
On October 17, 1942, she was united in marriage to Carl W. Rauer, who passed away on June 6, 2005.
Survivors include: one son, Charles A. Rauer of Lutz, Florida; one daughter, Arlene Canfield of Torrance, California; ten grandchildren, Irene Whitney, Bob Canfield, Cheryl Lanphear, Sheri Ellis, Lynn Chabez, Mark Canfield, Edward Rauer, Michelle McDavitt, Charles Rauer II and Scott Rauer; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Hilda Nichols.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home from noon until 1 p.m.
Spring burial will be in the Johnstown Cemetery.
