Sharleen Bolander Wilson

Sharleen Bolander Wilson, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 29, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from causes incident to a lingering illness.

She was born April 22, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gary Russel Bolander and Lois Elaine Dye Bolander. She grew up and attended schools in Firth, graduating from Firth High School. She then attended Hollywood Beauty College in Idaho Falls.

On June 14, 1970, she married Donald Allen Wilson in Firth, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.

Sharleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Young Women’s and Relief Society organizations. For several years, she served as Ward and Stake Camp Director, callings she especially loved. She also served as chairman of the Festival of Trees event.

Sharleen enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, playing the piano, singing, sewing, gardening, working in the yard, and bird watching. She especially loved spending time with her family and spoiling the grandchildren.

Survivors are: Husband, Donald Wilson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sons, Scott D. Wilson of Midvale, Utah, Shawn E. (Michelle) Wilson of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Kim A. (Claire) Wilson of Nampa, Idaho, and Brett J. (Julie) Wilson of Star, Idaho; daughters, Britney A. (Eric) Holland of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Jessica D. (Brett) Anderson of Green River, Wyo.; father, Gary Bolande; brothers, Kent (Vicki) Bolander, Ralph (Donna) Bolander, and Bruce (Judy) Bolander; sisters, Michele (Neil) Hepworth and Jan (Aaron) Shields; brothers-in-law, James Izzo and Robert Wilson of Johnstown, N.Y. and Leonce Wilson of Elkridge, Md.; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Bolander.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS Lincoln Stake Center, 2545 Mesa Drive, with Bishop Wesley Frey of the Lincoln 3rd Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and from noon to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
