David M. Klena, age 58, of Glenville, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Kindred Hospital Park View, Springfield, after a brief illness.
David was born on April 2, 1954, in Amsterdam, a son of the late Stephen Klena and Philomena Fallone Klena. He graduated from Johnstown High School and received an associate’s degree in psychology from Fulton-Montgomery Community College. Mr. Klena worked for many years with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. David also worked at Amsterdam Print and St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam. In his free time, he enjoyed music and electronics.
He is survived by: one brother, Stephen (Betsy Smith) Klena of Middleburgh; one twin sister, Diane Klena of Johnstown; two uncles, Richard (Gwen) Klena of Johnstown and Frank Arcesi of Schenectady; three aunts, Emily (Linus Vosburgh) Kralovic of Johnstown, Ethel Klena of Gloversville and Violet Fallone of Schenectady; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, at Fern Dale Cemetery.
Cremation was at Vale Crematory, Schenectady.
