Paul C. Clink
Mr. Paul C. Clink, 80, of Broadalbin and Fort Myers, Fla., passed away February 28, 2013, in Fort Myers, Fla. He was born September 16, 1932, in Montrose, Pa., son of the late Ottie and Nina Smith Clink. He was educated in New York state and employed as a sheet metal worker with local No. 83 Union, at W. Milton, retiring in 1995.
Paul served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion in Albany, the Aircraft Pilot Association, and enjoyed radio controlled airplanes. He was a member of the Lazy 8’s and the Cape Coral Seahawks. Paul was also a former private pilot. He looked forward to the eight months he spent in Florida each year.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou Girardot Clink of Broadalbin and Fort Myers; a son, Clifford Charles Clink of Broadalbin; a daughter, Doreen Marie Assman of Broadalbin. Paul is also survived by three half-brothers, Gary Clink of Scotia, Larry Clink of Schenectady and Robert Clink of Scotia; and a half-sister, Sandra Collins of Rotterdam; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Genevieve Curtis.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main St., Broadalbin, with Reverend Brian Dykema, pastor of the Johnstown Reformed Church officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
