Anna R. Marcinkiewicz

Mrs. Anna R. Marcinkiewicz, 84, of Green Street, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 12, 2013 at her home. Born in Gloversville, New York, on Dec. 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Pasqualle and Theresa Senzio Russo.

A lifelong area resident, Anna attended Gloversville schools and moved to Amsterdam in 1953 upon her marriage to Victor J. Marcinkiewicz on June 14. That beautiful union spanned 48 years until his passing on Nov. 28, 2001. She was also predeceased by her son, Michael on Dec. 1, 2010.

Anna was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the Ladies Home Bureau and the American Lithuanian Women’s Auxiliary. She was also a former communicant of St. Casimir’s R.C. Church.

Her loving family includes: her three daughters, Sue Ann (Scott) Silva of Sebastian, Fla., Lori (Miguel) Monge and Gina (Joseph) Politi of Amsterdam, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Jason (Paige) Silva of Texas, Jennifer (David) Rinker of Fla., Natalee (Ryan) Malpass of Amsterdam and Heather Monge also of Amsterdam; four great-grandchildren, Grace Malpass, Madison & Baylee Rinker and Jospeh Silva.

A prayer service will be offered on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam. Interment will take place in St. Casimir’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Legacy Candle Ceremony will be held at 6:45 p.m.
