Dorothy A. Loucks Dingman, age 58, of Gloversville, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was born August 5, 1954, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Everett Loucks Sr. and Leona Abbott Loucks.
Dorothy was educated in Gloversville and was a textile and leather worker employed for the St. Regis Sports Wear of Gloversville.
She is survived by her companion of 28 years, Robert J. Pendl of Gloversville; three sons, Michael A. Frye Jr. (Brenda) of Amsterdam, Jerry Kenyon (Heather) of Kentucky and Leon Dingman of Schenectady; one daughter, Jaunita (Chris) Flewelling of Hudson Falls; four brothers, LeRoy Loucks (Donna) of Gloversville, John Loucks (Kim) of North Carolina, Everett Loucks Jr. (Judy) of Gloversville and William Loucks (Patricia) of Johnstown; four sisters, Elaine Loucks of Gloversville, Priscilla Blood (Gary) of Gloversville, Inza O’Connor (Paul) of Gloversville and Rhoda Klingbiel of Johnstown; many grandchildren, great-greadchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by one brother, Burt C. Loucks; and two sisters, Sylvia Lightcap, and Dorothea Jump. The family will recieve relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John W. Finocan Funeral Home Inc., 13 Prospect Ave., Gloversville. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m., with Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Interment will be private and take place in the Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown N.Y.
